The role
The Senior Data Governance Business Analyst plays a strategic role in delivering Western Australia's commitments under the national VET Data Streamlining programme. The role leads business process analysis, defines data needs, and develops governance frameworks to support a new web‑based VET data collection and validation system. It contributes to the migration of legacy systems to secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with evolving national standards. Collaborating with technical teams, business users and external stakeholders, the position ensures system design, validation logic and reporting capabilities align with programme objectives and strengthen the Department's data infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in data or system transformation projects; come from a technical business analysis or information management background with a strong focus on compliance and data quality; and possess well‑developed process mapping and documentation skills.
