What you’ll do
* Design and maintain Suncare’s enterprise data architecture across operational systems, Snowflake, and analytics platforms to keep us scalable, resilient, and ready for growth.
* Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for core organisational entities like customer, workforce, service delivery, finance, and volunteer.
* Build a modern, extensible Lakehouse architecture that supports structured and semi‑structured data, with transformation logic, lineage tracking, and semantic modelling baked in.
* Ensure ingestion, integration, history tracking, and reporting layers are fit‑for‑purpose, well documented, and optimised for performance.
* Apply the right data modelling patterns and architectural standards across all enterprise and project pipelines.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
* Hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a similar field.
* Bring deep experience in data architecture and modelling and understand how data changes ripple through an organisation.
* Have hands‑on experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake is a big plus).
* Know your way around conceptual, logical, and physical data models including slowly changing dimensions, conformed dimensions, semantic layers, and star/snowflake schemas.
* Are confident with SQL, ELT/ETL patterns, schema design, optimisation, and performance tuning.
* Understand the importance of data quality, lineage, metadata, and information architecture — and know how to govern them well.
* Have a strong grasp of security, privacy, and PII requirements, and can navigate relevant regulations.
* Can collaborate with integration developers and architects to make sure ingestion and transformation logic is spot‑on.
* Understand APIs, integration flows, and data interchange formats.
* Have exposure to modern CI/CD, DevOps, or DataOps practices.
* Work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Communicate clearly and confidently, translating complex technical concepts into language everyone can understand.
* Are comfortable with project management methodologies like agile and waterfall.
* Can meet compliance requirements, including a satisfactory National Coordinated Criminal History Check (or consent to acquire one).
