We are looking for two motivated and proactive IPM Spray Operators to join our team in Tatura. These casual positions involve approximately 5 hours per day, starting at 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of greenhouse spray applications
- Assist in the application of agrochemicals in greenhouses to eradicate pests and diseases
- Assist in coordinating the spray team and ensure duties are performed effectively; ensure all spray procedures are adhered to
- Ensure spray equipment is operating and kept in good state of repair
- Keep greenhouse areas clean after application of pesticides or any ad hoc tasks
- Ensure hygiene and quarantine protocols are followed
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in spray applications within an IPM program and pest/disease identification
- Hold ChemCert or equivalent chemical handling certification
- Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable) and 1–2 years’ experience in IPM or crop protection in a glasshouse workplace
- Physically capable of working in glasshouses and conducting field inspections
- Strong organisational skills, safety-conscious, and effective communicator (independent and team settings)
- Hold a current driver’s licence and have the right to work in Australia
