About the Opportunity
The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation delivery presentation and serving of resident meals.
Responsibilities
* Meal choices and individual nutrition
* Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
* Enhancing the overall dining experience
* Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
* Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
* Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
* Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
* Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
* Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
* Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
* Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
* Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required
About You
* Demonstrated customer service skills
* A compassionate and caring attitude
* Previous hospitality and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
* Willingness to take direction from others
* Reliability and shift flexibility
* Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)
* Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check
