The Opportunity
We are seeking a Finance Analyst – Milk Supply to join our Commercial Finance team on a 14‐month maximum term parental leave contract.
In this role, you will provide financial and analytical support to the Milk Supply business unit and Total Oceania Milk P&L results. You will work with large data sets and multiple stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and insightful analysis across milk costs, operational costs and recoveries.
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Milk Supply, this role plays a critical part in ensuring robust financial governance, compliance and performance insight across the milk supply value chain.
Key accountabilities include:
* Supporting monthly forecasting and reporting processes, including IBP/SP, annual budget and business planning
* Preparing and analysing milk cost forecasts, incentives and third‐party milk purchase variances
* Delivering accurate month‐end reporting, journals and reconciliations for Australia milk costs and NZ DIRA
* Providing insights into variances against budget, forecast and prior year
* Reviewing Milk Supply Agreements to ensure financial terms are adhered to, including reconciliation of milk payments
* Supporting monthly and end‐of‐season milk payment processes
* Ensuring compliance with relevant dairy codes, policies, procedures and audit requirements
* Contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting
* Participating in ad hoc finance projects and team initiatives as required
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with complex data, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and delivering high‐quality financial insights.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
* Strong financial and analytical capability, with excellent attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
* A proactive, adaptable mindset with a desire to improve processes and outcomes
Experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm, FMCG, manufacturing or dairy environments, along with exposure to SAP and/or Salesforce, will be highly regarded.
