About Us

Adecco Australia has partnered with a valued Transport and Logistics client who is looking for a Team Leader to lead the way. In conjunction with the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for looking after the day to day activities of warehouse team members who are employed to work, to ensure warehouse runs seamlessly.

Responsibilities

Key Results Area – Supervision

* To ensure all areas of direct responsibilities adhere to WH&S practices and maintain environmental awareness.
* To assist and direct the area of control in supervising of that area in day to day production and manufacturing activities.
* To ensure the output of the Team meets or exceeds the Company's requirements in respect of quality, delivery performance, customer service, and cost control.
* To provide on-the-job training to employees.
* To train and instruct their team to work in accordance with written or verbal instructions or operating procedures.
* To ensure 100% DIFOT everyday irrespective of the jurisdictions.
* Taking accountability of any warehouse/dispatch practices and eliminating delay in shipments for all jurisdictions.
* Provide warehouse workers detailed feedback on their level of performance most especially when they are not performing up to company expectations, in order for them to sit up and do better.

Key Results Area – Resource Management

* To ensure sufficient resources are planned.
* To report any staff or resource related issues.
* To work closely with other production, administration, team leaders and management to ensure an efficient operation of the warehouse.
* To assist the stocktake procedures relating to the warehouse.

Key Results Area - Operations

* To ensure the Team Leader implements the 5S process in the warehouse.
* To participate in the Continuous Improvement programme in the factory.

Key Results Area – Team, Career and Innovation

* To be aware of and uphold the required values.
* To promote a positive working relationship with the team.
* To uphold the standards and lead by example.
* To proactively contribute to team meetings.
* To participate enthusiastically and purposefully at all review meetings.
* To share ideas and innovative concepts to add value to the business and ensure continuous improvement.
* To raise issues and/or concerns with your manager.
* To be committed to upholding policies and procedures.

* Interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate employees
* Problem solving skills
* High level communication skills
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines or targets
* Time management skills
* Able to perform under pressure
* Fork Lift License preferred
* Ability to motivate employee’s to achieve individual and company goals
* Excellent computer skills
