ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a newly created, full-time opportunity based in Launceston, Tasmania. You'll report to and work directly with our Business Owner/Managing Director and closely alongside our Project Estimator, as well as our team of qualified plumbers, apprentices and civil operators - both in the office and on site.
We're open to two types of candidates:
A seasoned Project Manager (civil or construction background) ready to apply their transferrable skills in a thriving plumbing environment; or
A highly experienced plumber ready to step off the tools and lead with their expertise in productivity, efficiency, and plumbing code knowledge.
40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Attractive salary + company vehicle + flexible working hours (negotiable for the right person).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You'll oversee a wide variety of civil and commercial plumbing projects from start to finish -ensuring they're delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to a high standard. Your role will blend strategic oversight with practical site involvement.
Core responsibilities include:
Project Planning & Scheduling – develop timelines, resource plans and workflows
Budget Control – track costs, manage project budgets and deliver within financial targets
Quality Assurance – ensure work aligns with regulations, safety standards, and client expectations
Client Liaison – maintain open and proactive communication with key stakeholders
Contract & Compliance Management – oversee contracts, variations, safety, and site requirements
Procurement & Site Management – source materials, coordinate logistics and ensure efficient execution of a range of works
Problem Solving – adapt to changing site conditions and keep projects on track
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Demonstrated experience in project management OR
A strong plumbing trade background with a deep understanding of site operations, codes, and business metrics
Exceptional organisational, communication, negotiation and time management skills
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and foster strong client relationships
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and desire to drive results – on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards

We now employ a team licensed plumbers, apprentices, truck and civil machinery operators, and a small, dedicated office support team.
