Responsibilities
As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant in Wollongong, you will be a fully qualified (OT, Physio or AEP). Your role will be diverse, offering a wide range of responsibilities across workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services. A key aspect of your role will involve delivering workplace rehabilitation services that help individuals engage in meaningful occupations through a client‐centered approach, promoting optimal health and well‐being.
* Assess injured and ill workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
* Visit workplaces to understand the challenges injured and ill workers may face and educate employers on the health benefits of good work.
* Case‐manage complex injuries and coordinate with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
* Provide clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.

In addition to workplace rehabilitation services, you will have the opportunity to partner with various organisations to deliver a range of other services, such as:
* Conduct ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
* Develop job dictionaries.
* Perform manual task risk assessments.
* Lead interactive manual handling training and implement stretching and warm‐up programs.
* Conduct pre‐employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
