Profectus is engaging an End-User Experience Technical Specialist to support a significant Australian Government program of work. The engagement spans specialty engineering, systems engineering and integration, networking and cross-domain solutions, service management and commercial delivery assurance.
You will design, integrate and deliver secure end-user computing solutions (VDI and thick-client) in classified Australian Government environments. The role establishes SOE baselines, configuration standards and deployment models, and ensures EUC solutions are reliable and maintainable in connected, degraded and disconnected operation.
About the role
* Design, integrate and deliver secure end-user computing solutions
* Develop low-level technical designs aligned with approved architectural patterns
* Establish and maintain SOE baselines, configuration standards and deployment models
* Implement automation and CI/CD techniques to support secure, repeatable deployment
* Support endpoint security, patching, hardening and least-privilege implementation
* Provide technical inputs to project governance, reporting and assurance artefacts
Required skills and experience
* 5+ years designing, implementing and supporting large-scale, geographically distributed EUC environments
* SOE design for VDI and thick-client endpoints
* Configuration baselines using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, PowerShell
* Endpoint protection (antivirus, app whitelisting, device control, patch management)
* Active Directory, PKI certificates and Group Policy
* Experience with highly available systems in connected, partially connected, degraded or disconnected states
* Experience leading small technical teams (around 5 people)
* Rapid POC build, automation and delivery within DevSecOps
* Privileged Access Management, Least Privilege Access, Network Segmentation, Containerised applications

Canberra (ACT). Onsite at Australian Government premises.
Security Requirements
* Hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) clearance at commencement
