About The Opportunity
Are you passionate about developing and delivering impactful training programs that enhance workplace safety and performance? As a VOC Officer, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and assessing competency-based training initiatives to ensure employees operating mobile plant, equipment, and performing high-risk work are fully prepared and compliant with safety standards.
What You'll Do:
* Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments for employees operating mobile plant and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards.
* Design and deliver competency-based training and assessments.
* Identify training needs and recommend targeted solutions to bridge competency gaps.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments and certifications.
* Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and external training providers to implement best practices.
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of safety and training programs.
About You:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
* Current qualifications, competencies, and/or licences to operate mobile plant and equipment (e.g., RII or HRWL).
* Proven experience conducting VOC assessments and delivering high-risk work training.
* Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and standards.
* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
* High level of computer literacy and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and positive approach, with a commitment to fostering a safe and compliant workplace.
* Current Class "C" driver's licence (minimum).
Highly Regarded:
* Experience in designing and delivering training programs for high-risk work environments.
* A willingness to undertake professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
