Marketing Strategy and Communications Role

This is a key position in the Brand and Communications team responsible for managing the performance of media and communication agencies to deliver high service standards.

The team works across the whole of the public sector, focusing on customer-centric communications, including advertising campaigns, NSW Government brand, industry partnerships, media agency services arrangements, and building communications capability.

This role involves managing incoming communication briefs, coordinating campaign delivery, and providing specialist advice to optimize campaign performance against NSW Government priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies, plans, and campaigns to support optimal service delivery.
* Provide contemporary and evidence-based advice to shape effective marketing and communications programs, supporting informed decision-making and planning.
* Develop program budgets, timelines, reports, and updates, and campaign result reports to monitor, promote, and optimize programs and outcomes.
* Contribute to project delivery activities, including launches, workshops, and presentations, to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
* Establish working relationships with vendors, internal and external stakeholders, including media and creative agencies, to support campaign and program delivery.
* Coordinate the development of merchandise, collateral, and in-house activities to support campaigns and programs.
* Develop high-quality, accurate, and timely reports, briefs, or correspondence to provide information or advice and keep relevant groups informed on key developments and issues related to marketing activities.

Requirements:

* Several years of marketing and campaigns experience, ideally from working directly in advertising and media agencies.
* Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude to build internal relationships which will benefit external activities.
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience.
* Excellent communication skills with both internal and external parties.
* High level attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation.
* Proactive approach to work.
* Good Excel skills.

Benefits:

* Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary starting at $106025 plus superannuation.
