About the Team
Brand, Internal Communications and Intranet
The Brand, Internal Communications and Intranet team deliver a range of communication and design activities that support the Commission's internal communication strategy, governance of the Commission's intranet and the design and production of Commission branded materials for internal and external audiences.
About the Role
The Design Support Officer's role is to support the brand, design and video production team to provide brand advice Commission-wide and help evolve the Commission's brand assets with adherence to brand, style and accessibility standards.
You will be working within a team of communication and design professionals in a supportive and inclusive work environment, providing design and production services that contribute to the development and delivery of clear, compelling and visually engaging digital and print products to internal, external, First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse audiences.
Position Duties
* Design support: Under general direction, create and update products (PowerPoint, Word, design and video files) to ensure alignment with the Commission's brand, style and accessibility standards.
* Promotion and advice: As part of the team, provide reviews and advice to internal stakeholders to assist in the uplift of awareness and application of the Commission's brand, style and accessibility standards to publications, presentations, templates, videos and events. Contribute to the development of guidance materials, templates and training sessions.
* Asset management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Commission's digital assets and libraries.
* Administration support: Undertake ad hoc administration to meet the needs of the team, including liaising with suppliers and reporting.
* Relationship management: Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships, respond to all enquiries and requests in a positive and timely manner.
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria)
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Proficient with graphic design and video production applications in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Canva.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
* Capacity to liaise with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and in a culturally sensitive way.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to interpret complex information into visually engaging graphics.
* Planning and organisational skills, including ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities and delivering work to a high standard.
* Experience with SharePoint is desirable
* Previous APS or government experience within a design or communications team would be highly regarded.
* Design or communication related Certificate/Diploma/tertiary qualifications or 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
Position Notes
* Salary offered will be between $80,425 - $84,980 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

* Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
