What is our Coordinator of Nursing role?

The Coordinator of Nursing practises as a Senior Registered Nurse (SRN) in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and the Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. The role provides leadership in the coordination, management, and governance of nursing services within Cancer Network WA (CNWA).

The Coordinator supports the Service Director and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across CNWA to develop and implement the Cancer Network's strategic direction. This includes progressing the WA Cancer Plan, supporting health reform initiatives, and driving continuous quality improvement.

The role is also responsible for the management of human, financial, and material resources within the Cancer Nurse Coordination Team, in line with the policies, objectives, goals, and values of the North Metropolitan Health Service.

Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in coordination, management, and governance of nursing services within Cancer Network WA.
* Support the Service Director and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across CNWA to develop and implement the Cancer Network's strategic direction.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. For fixed‐term appointments, evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia is required. Applicants must undertake a criminal records screening, integrity check, and, if required, a working‐with‐children check and a pre‐employment health assessment.

Senior Registered Nurse registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board is essential. Applicants should demonstrate experience in leadership, strategic planning, and resource management within a healthcare setting.
