About This Opportunity
This position is an outreach and engagement role within Learning and Research Services. The Outreach Librarian is responsible for leading proactive outreach services to designated areas to enhance scholarly and research activities, enable teaching staff to deliver excellent learning outcomes for students at all levels and to strategically participate in learning, teaching and research projects and initiatives. This role has both a strategic engagement and operational focus, which involves partnering with academic staff to directly and tangibly benefit their academic endeavours across teaching and research.
Duties
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
- Identify opportunities for strategic research and teaching support by proactively engaging with academic staff and researchers to maintain a strong understanding of their research, scholarship, and teaching.- Develop and maintain strong and effective partnerships across the UQ community with stakeholders including academic staff, ITaLI etc.- Promote and market Library services and resources and initiate innovative, scalable new services.- Proactively support the management of the Library's collections in collaboration with academics, researchers and other Library staff and in the context of the Library's Collection Management Policy to enhance the teaching, learning and research objectives of The University.- In collaboration with staff across the Library, design, develop, deliver and evaluate information and digital literacy programs, both face to face and online.- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of advanced discipline specific information services, including, but not limited to, scholarly publishing and research evaluation and metrics.- Work collaboratively on service improvement and support colleagues in implementing change.- Monitor and respond to priorities and trends in the Library and University environments.- Participate in the overall analysis, planning and management of the service including development and implementation of action plans.- Supervise and lead designated staff in designated service areas and within projects and coordinate a range of activities.- Lead or assist in the development, preparation, publication and maintenance of Library documentation, reports, and statistical information.- Contribute as an effective Library team member including leading and/or participating in planning, activities and the delivery of team and broader Library goals.- Ensure effective communication, liaison, and negotiation with UQ staff and clients, modelling the- UQ Library Way 
- .- Represent the Library and University as required.- Other duties commensurate with HEW Level 7 (including but not limited to project work).
This role is based at our Gatton campus, but attendance at the St Lucia campus can be considered.
This is a full-time, continuing position.
At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $93,254 to $101,680, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $109,107 to $118,966 annually.
The position holder will co-operate with team members and Library staff, sharing relevant information and seeking information from others as required.
