The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time Systems Administrator. Your focus will be on maintaining technology solutions and operational services that support critical workloads across on-premise infrastructure and hybrid cloud resources. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will assist in providing day-to-day IT support, managing internal helpdesk functions, overseeing technology projects and collaborating with external service providers. The position is based in Adelaide and would be an ideal fit for a dynamic, outcome-focused individual who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will be part of our small and diverse IT Team.
Responsibilities
* Administration of Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Entra, M365 Admin, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
* Assist in operational planning, continuous improvement, and risk management of the ICT environment across the business.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in consultation with external service providers and vendors.
* Administration of the server technology stack including Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, and Virtual SAN.
* Manage the service desk queue to ensure incidents are resolved.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support guides.
* Administration of AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, RDS environment, hybrid Exchange environment, Azure, and AWS.
* Administration of network infrastructure including switches, firewalls and Wi-Fi.
* Maintain on-premise and cloud backups.
* Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
* Ensure that the security and compliance of corporate data and business applications are maintained and monitored on a timely basis.
* Monitor and respond to performance and security events.
* Automation of regular recurring tasks by leveraging scripting and integration.
* Provide technical input into project proposals and business cases.
* Provide after-hours critical incident support to the business and inter-site travel when required.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
* Relevant tertiary or IT industry qualifications.
* Proven and technical expertise in Windows server administration, networks, virtualization, backup technologies, storage, disaster recovery, and security.
* Outstanding problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
* Strong understanding and implementation of IT best practices to drive operational efficiency.
* Proficiency in cloud technologies including M365, AWS and Azure.
* Proven experience in providing technical guidance and ensuring project deadlines are met.
* Knowledge in adopting and complying to cyber-security best practices.
