Senior Associate Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Environment & Sustainable Development team.
* This is a part-time opportunity that will work closely with another Senior Associate in the team to effectively deliver on client expectations while maintaining a good work-life balance.
The role involves a diverse variety of interesting and challenging work, advising public and private sector clients on a broad range of regulatory frameworks in the context of strategic approvals and regulatory advice, major projects and transactions, enforcement, litigation and dispute resolution.
* To be successful in this role, you will have at least 0-2 years' experience as a Senior Associate with a background in environmental law and ideally planning, Aboriginal cultural heritage, native title or related practice areas.
* Strong skills in legislative interpretation, analytical thinking and advice drafting, and attention to detail are essential for this position.
* Familiarity with State Administrative Tribunal or Supreme/Federal Court litigation is also required.
* You will need to have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment.
* Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as a team member is necessary for this role.
* Experience in supervision and developing junior lawyers is also beneficial.
* A high degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus is expected.
* A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives, including seminars and publishing articles, is also desirable.

Our Environment & Sustainable Development Group guides clients through the complex web of planning, environmental and broader regulatory laws. These laws are varied and complex in each State. While we specialise in each jurisdiction we are a national practice group with opportunity to work with our interstate colleagues.
