About the Role
The role is responsible for enhancing the agency's profile and protecting its reputation through the effective provision of professional advice and services relating to content development and design, digital content creation and maintenance of the EPA's website and internal digital communication channels. This position also plays a key role in ensuring consistent application of the agency's corporate branding and language style across the organisation.
The position plays an important role in the Strategic Communications team and the incumbent requires a practical approach to digital and online communications that addresses the current and future communication needs of the agency.
The Digital Communications Lead is accountable to the Team Leader, Strategic Communications and is responsible for the content and technical aspects of projects to develop and maintain content across platforms to support the successful delivery of communication.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* High-level communication skills to facilitate relationships with stakeholders, including an ability to negotiate effectively, meet customer needs, and produce clear, engaging content.
* Demonstrated experience to analyse, assess and propose solutions at both strategic and operational levels.
* Skilled practitioner in developing and producing targeted and quality print and digital information, using appropriate software, applying editing, proofreading and production skills, and researching and analysing data.
* In-depth knowledge of desktop publishing through use of templates, and content management of websites, and SharePoint.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
* Ability to be an integral part of a team and contribute to a positive and high-performance culture.

Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge or Experience
* A qualification in IT, communications, or related discipline is desirable.
Remuneration:
ASO5 ($85,790 - $95, % super added to your choice of super fund.
Contract
Term contract up to 12 months and full time (37.5 hours per week).
Special Conditions
* This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. A current National Police Clearance is essential.
* The incumbent will occasionally be required to travel to sites in country areas and interstate.
* The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and as the need arises.
