We have a fantastic opportunity at Gordon Lodge in Bull Creek for an enthusiastic and proactive Therapy Assistant to join our team

In this role, you'll work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and Occupational Therapist to:

* Assess residents' needs and preferences to design engaging one‑on‑one and group programmes.
* Assist with the development and delivery of therapy programmes that enhance residents' wellbeing.
* Observe and report changes in residents' health or mood.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the service.

This role as a Therapy Assistant will see you:

* Support the delivery of individual and group therapy programmes.
* Assist in assessing residents' needs and tailoring activities accordingly.
* Supervise and guide volunteers assisting with therapy sessions.
* Collaborate with Allied Health and Clinical teams to monitor outcomes and progress.


About you:

* Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
* Previous experience in Residential Aged Care.
* Able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to work.
* Flexibility around differing shifts.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathetic, with genuine care for the elderly.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Committed to building warm and respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.


About the Facility:

Located in the heart of our Air Force Memorial Estate, Gordon Lodge is set on 11 beautiful hectares in Bull Creek. This 62‑bed residential aged care centre provides permanent, respite, and securedementia care in our dedicated Rose Cottage wing. With stunning views of Lake Howard, peaceful gardens, and a welcoming team, it's a wonderful place to work and make a difference every day.
