The Opportunity
As our pipeline of work grows, we seek a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle.
You will have experience in designing water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.
You will build strong client relationships and demonstrate your ability to understand our clients' core businesses.
You will be given opportunities for professional growth and development as well as mentorship from experienced engineers.

You will have gained experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office project team.
Your ideal skills and expertise:
1. Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
2. A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
3. Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
4. Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks
5. Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects
6. A commitment to working safely, and within the company's HSEQ systems
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
8. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
9. Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
