About the role
We have an exciting career opportunity for a Domestic Services Assistant to join our dedicated Hotel Services team.
In this position you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our hospital's corporate and clinical areas are well maintained to the highest standard for the benefit of staff, patients and visitors.
We pride ourselves in high cleaning standards and maintain a clean, hygienic, tidy and safe environment.
Our cleaning staff are versatile with a variety of cleaning duties required both indoors and outdoors.
Our motivated, innovative team inspires and strives for excellence and have access to state-of-the-art cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring you have the right processes, training and equipment to do your job to the best of your ability.
We are seeking applicants for general cleaning roles who have an attention to detail, take pride in the work they complete and enjoy working in a team environment.
The successful applicant will maintain a clean, hygienic, comfortable and tidy environment.
Duties can include servicing and cleaning kitchenettes and basic food services, general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, toilet servicing, window cleaning, waste & linen management, infectious cleaning, cleaning offices, general public areas and some external cleaning.
We are looking for Monday to Friday workers with hours generally between 6:30am and 3:00pm, with the option to work public holidays and/or weekends.
The successful applicant must be punctual, reliable, willing to learn, have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team, and have a passion to provide a high level of customer service to staff and clients of WDHS.
Experience working in the hospitality industry would be an advantage, a food handling certificate or the willingness to undertake and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check.
Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required.
