About The Role
Based at the Stirling Health Centre, you will provide support and treatments to Defence Force personnel. You will be responsible for providing a range of evidence‐based physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitative services, including direction on rehabilitation programs, splinting/plastering/fitting of orthoses, use of electrotherapy modalities or hydrotherapy pools where required, and providing advice and recommendations to other health professionals.
Applicants must be Australian citizens in order to obtain the required baseline security clearance for this role.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
* Extensive full‐time postgraduate musculoskeletal experience in an accredited physiotherapy environment (or part‐time equivalent).
* Experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment.
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development activities (CPD) in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable).
About The Stirling Health Centre
Located approximately 45 km south of Perth on Garden Island, HMAS Stirling provides operational and logistics support to the Royal Australian Navy ships, submarines and aircraft based in Western Australia. The base is home to the RAN Submarine Training & Systems Centre, Training Centre West complex, Defence Communications Station Perth, and various trials and research facilities. Health Centre services include primary medical, underwater medicine, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, dental and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
