We're partnering with a leading enterprise IT consulting organization to hire a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead large-scale, cloud-native infrastructure initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
This role sits at the heart of a high-throughput platform environment—routing thousands of customer interactions daily, executing millions of API and monitoring calls, and orchestrating petabytes of data across hybrid and multi-cloud systems. Reliability isn't optional—it's mission-critical.
The RoleAs Principal DevOps Engineer, you will architect and lead the evolution of modern infrastructure platforms, enabling engineering teams to deploy faster, operate safely, and scale confidently.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect multi-region, multi-cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Lead CI/CD strategy and platform modernization, supporting frequent, safe production deploymentsDrive observability and reliability practices, including SLOs, monitoring strategy, and incident response maturityMentor and lead a distributed DevOps team across ANZOptimize cost, performance, and scalability across AWS, GCP, and/or AzureEmbed security and compliance controls aligned to enterprise and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For6+ years' experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering within complex production environmentsDeep expertise in AWS, GCP, or AzureStrong hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experienceProduction Kubernetes and container orchestration experienceDemonstrated technical leadership and strong architectural thinkingCommitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement
