Location: 13 Mulgrave Street, Launceston, Tasmania
Employment type: Permanent, full‑time
Salary: $149,660 – $160,625 per annum. 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year.
Role Summary
As an Area Manager, you will activate teams, strengthen systems and deliver outcomes that directly improve the lives of clients, families and communities across Tasmania's North, North West and South.
Key Responsibilities
* Set direction and deliver results – Drive high‑quality, trauma‑informed, person‑centred practice across your team.
* Strengthen service pathways – Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external providers to ensure clients receive seamless, coordinated support.
* Empower people and lift performance – Coach, motivate and equip your team to excel, fostering accountability, professional growth and continuous improvement.
* Resolve barriers – Make decisions that keep services moving, address emerging challenges and streamline processes to support efficient, effective care.
Qualifications & Experience
* High‑level knowledge and experience in managing and delivering services to professionals.
* Strategic planning, policy development, human resources, business and information management expertise.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, supervision and negotiation skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
* Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Current driver's licence.
* Completion of a postgraduate qualification relevant to the position.
