About the role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Northcott, you'll deliver person-centred, evidence-based behaviour support to customers with complex support needs across a varied caseload. Working collaboratively with customers, families, and staff, you'll use a Positive Behaviour Support approach to build skills, enhance independence, and improve quality of life.
This role includes developing Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS Commission requirements, supporting and mentoring practitioners, contributing to housing and functional assessments, and delivering training, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and meaningful, impactful work.

What you'll bring:
* Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing, Social or Health Science and/or Completed or currently completing Positive Approach to Behaviour Support Core Standard including appraisal process (FACS); or CHCDIS006.
* Minimum three years' experience mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support strategies.
* Experience in the disability and/or community sector.
* Using a person-centred, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support approach focused on real outcomes.
* Strong relationship-building skills with clients, families, and teams
* Clear, confident communication and teamwork skills
* A growth mindset and passion for learning and collaboration
* Good organisation and time management to manage a diverse caseload, paediatric to adults.
