Job Description
Join our exceptional team at the Craigieburn office in an exciting full time, 12-month fixed-term contract. You will specialize in WorkCover claims, providing tailored legal advice and support to clients navigating complex workplace injury processes. Our team is committed to delivering personalized service, compassionate guidance, and achieving the best possible legal outcomes during challenging times. This is more than just a job — it’s a role with real purpose and impact.
We’re seeking a Lawyer with 2-3 years’ experience, a strong client-focused mindset, and a genuine passion for social justice. Ideal candidates will have experience or a keen interest in Personal Injuries law, particularly within the WorkCover system, and demonstrate a personable approach to supporting clients through their recovery journey.
We are looking for someone who:
- Works effectively with others and fosters positive relationships
- Has a strong client and relationship building skills, you cultivate and manage relationships with referrers and other external stakeholders
- Contributes to team success and collaborates seamlessly
- Is resourceful, you find creative solutions and adapt to challenges
- Is determined and motivated to make a difference, driving successful outcomes
- Is client focussed with a genuine passion for helping people
- Ideally has prior experience in Workers’ Compensation, Public Liability or TAC
- Knowledge of the relevant procedural rules relevant to Personal Injuries
You will bring your experience in:
- 2 + Years PAE
- Previous personal injuries experience is required
- Review and analysis of records
- Drafting written communications to clients
- Drafting court documents
- Attending court for procedural hearings
- Deeply understanding client’s needs
