About the Role
We're seeking a hands‐on and dependable Maintenance Officer / Tradesperson to support our aged care and retirement living services at Uniting Hawkesbury. This role is offered as a 2‐day working week (weekday hours only, no weekends), providing excellent work‐life balance.
You'll be responsible for the day‐to‐day maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, playing an important role in keeping our services safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing
1. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site facilities
2. Responding promptly to maintenance requests and safety issues
3. Ensuring all work is completed in line with WHS requirements
4. Communicating respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues
5. Supporting asset management through accurate reporting and documentation
What You'll Bring
6. Experience in maintenance, facilities, or a general handyperson role
7. A sound understanding of workplace health and safety
8. Trade qualification (desirable but not essential)
9. A practical, solutions‐focused approach
10. Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
11. A current NSW Driver's Licence
Desirable Experience
12. Maintenance experience in aged care, retirement living, or community services
13. Familiarity with maintenance systems (CMMS) – training provided
