About the role
Our goal to build healthier rural people and thriving communities is the shared responsibility of all involved in the care of our patients and the Hospital Assistant is an integral and valued member of our team.
This varied and interesting role may include distribution and ordering of linen, packing away of stores, preparing light refreshments for patients, general cleaning including rooms and equipment as required and assisting generally as per your work program.
You will need to be reliable, punctual and energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude with a focus on patient care and use your great communication skills to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
We currently have permanent part time vacancy at Wellington Health Service, however welcome applications from people interested in casual employment - opportunities for temporary contracts of 13 weeks or less may be offer to casual employees from time to time.
Penalty rates apply for working on weekends and public holidays.
