The Role
The Production Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting diverse production operations through smooth and efficient manufacturing of whole or sub-parts of our product range using defined processes while maintaining high-quality standards, as well as contributing to documentation of work instructions and problem solving initiatives.
The successful candidate will become a key member of our small, fast-growing team.
The role will be varied, with the core duties including, but not limited to:
End-to-end construction, assembly and inspection of products
Operate, monitor and perform basic maintenance of a variety of manufacturing equipment
Accurately record production data using digital systems and maintain detail logs
Contribute to writing and reviewing work instructions and problem solving initiatives
Adherence to established procedures and quality standards
Product packaging and shipment preparation
Parts stocktaking
Who we're looking for
We're after someone with the right attitude and skills, with an ability to demonstrate:
High school certificate/diploma or equivalent, a degree in a related field would be highly regarded
Experience with handling and assembling small parts or operating equipment in a laboratory-like environment
Experience interpreting detail aligning units using jigs and fixtures and inspect components to ensure conformance to specifications, highly regarded
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Proficiency in using computerized systems for data entry and basic analysis
Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes
Ability to read and interpret and contribute to the documentation of technical documents, work instructions, root cause analysis and safety protocols
Physical stamina to stand/sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A positive, self-motivated team player and the ability to work independently
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
Full training will be provided.
