**The Company**
**Altona Meadows**
Our Altona Meadows centre showcases seven equipped Montessori classrooms and three dynamic outdoor play areas. Key features of the Montessori classrooms include flexible learning spaces, clearly defined curriculum areas, and a full suite of Montessori Materials designed to meet the developmental needs and interests of each age group. Beyond the classroom, the centre's outdoor play areas will feature a fixed play equipment, art and craft area, slide, dramatic play area, home corner, gardens, teepee, gross motor activities, and sandpits.
**The Role** 
- Guiding, supporting, and supervising staff, students and volunteers in the room 
- Deliver inspiring Montessori early learning experiences for the children 
- Developing the Children's Program 
- Ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff and children 
- Ensuring accurate records are kept in regard to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication 
- Liaising with families 
- Maintaining observations and records of individual children's progress
**Essential criteria** 
- Aligned with Montessori Academy Core Values 
- Degree in Early Childhood Education/Teacher (or ACECQA equivalent) 
- Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting 
- Current Working with Children Check 
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one 
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment 
- Strong understanding of the importance of family communications 
- Commitment to the holistic development of their class
