What you'll be doing

The Fire and Security Services Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, provision of subject matter expertise and advice, leadership, policy management and governance for all fire and security services across the MNCLHD sites. The position holder leads the ongoing governance and continuous improvement of the District's approach to fire and security management, across a range of internal and external, regulatory, legislative, audit and policy requirements.

* The Fire and Security Services Manager role undertakes daily activities ensuring a prepared workforce in safety and security at diverse facilities and sites. Please provide your demonstrated experience in undertaking a similar role and how that experience will assist in improved fire and security services with the MNCLHD?
* Developing effective relationships and communicating with stakeholders, such as managers, senior executives and regulatory authorities is key to the success of this role. Please describe how you have built and maintained effective relationships in a similar role?

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in the fire safety management and security services. Must be an Accredited Fire Safety Officer and Fire Safety Manager (or willingness and ability to obtain accreditation), must hold a current Class 1A Security Licence with the NSW Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED) and have a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness and the ability to obtain qualification) and experience in delivering training to various stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to effectively engage and collaborate to build strategic working relationships with external stakeholders, as a representative and an advocate for the organisation.
* Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
* Demonstrated sound time management and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines within defined resources ensuring targets are met.
* Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a high performing team with the ability to motivate and coordinate staff.
* Highly competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets).
* Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required.
