We are seeking a results-driven HR Generalist to join our team. This is a dynamic and complex role that requires a hands-on approach in dealing with HR matters and partnering with leaders.
The Role
This HR Generalist role involves supporting a group of employees, managing employee relationships, and acting as the first point of contact for HR queries.
* Supporting a group of approx. 130 employees;
* Managing employee relationships and acting as first point of contact for HR queries;
* Support Employee Relation matters including the grievance & disciplinary process through effective investigations;
* Support industrial negotiations and processes such as disciplinary proceedings, EBA negotiations and management of all industrial activities for the client group;
* Work closely with the HR team across the business to monitor, review and update HR practices aligned to legislative and business requirements;
* Work in partnership with Talent Acquisition specialists to source capable talent to business unit both internally and externally;
* Coaching and supporting line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development;
* Supporting the Employee Development & Training by recommending programs, facilitating programs where required and being an advocate of a learning culture.
This role requires strong communication skills, experience with stakeholder engagement, and a willingness to learn about Employee and Industrial Relations, as well as the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred);
* Prior experience in an HR Coordinator/Junior HR Advisor or Generalist capacity;
* A team player who is comfortable to operate in a complex, evolving and fast-paced environment;
* A 'can do' attitude, looking for better ways of doing things and enjoying working in an agile environment.
