ABOUT THE ROLE This is a newly created, standalone HR & Compliance leadership role designed to bring structure, consistency and compliance rigour to a growing organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take full ownership of HR and compliance, building frameworks, strengthening processes and reducing risk. You’ll play a critical role in enabling leadership to step away from operational overwhelm and focus on strategy, while embedding best-practice governance across the organisation. DUTIES Lead and implement HR frameworks across the full employee lifecycle Drive compliance with legislative, regulatory and governance requirements Manage employee relations, including performance, grievances and investigations Oversee quality assurance systems, ensuring accurate and consistent record-keeping Monitor and improve compliance processes, including certifications and audits Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with best practice and legal standards Analyse feedback and data to inform continuous improvement initiatives Partner with leadership to provide strategic HR advice and workforce planning Manage risk, incident reporting and complaints processes with integrity SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related discipline Proven experience in HR leadership and/or compliance roles Background in NFP or highly regulated sectors is a must (e.g. community services, aged care) Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance and risk management Confident managing sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion Ability to operate autonomously and influence stakeholders at all levels Understanding of culturally safe practices and community-focused environments BENEFITS Eligible for Salary Packaging in the NFP sector Extra two weeks paid leave during Christmas period Opportunity to shape and own a newly created leadership role Flexible hybrid working (WFH 3 days per week) Meaningful work with real community impact Supportive leadership and values-driven culture OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS At Lotus People, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
