We are a rapidly expanding business looking for a qualified and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team based in South-East Melbourne.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating our entire supply chain operation (from acquisition to distribution) by coordinating the distribution of goods through personnel and processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at communication, negotiation, organisation, and customer service.
Our goal is to hire someone who ensures our operation is cost-effective and runs smoothly and efficiently while also increasing sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Visualise and facilitate logistics of the warehouse, transportation, and customer service
- Liaise with the company’s agents/customers, production and sales staff to ensure that the coordination of the export function is performed efficiently and that all parties are fully informed
- Supervise and organise orders of packaging, raw materials and equipment
- Coordinate and monitor operations of the supply chain
- Track final product shipments and timelines according to requirements
- Resolve shipment and inventory issues
- Keep organised and detailed records of orders and stock
- Prepare accurate reports according to the expectations of upper management
- Analyse data and suggest modifications and improvements accordingly
- Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar position with a demonstrated background in export / import freight forwarding (sea and air)
- Demonstrated ability to handle end-to-end export/import operations services effectively and efficiently.
