The position of Research Scientist involves conducting innovative research in the field of Radio Polarimetry and Faraday Rotation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing data from the ASKAP Polarisation Survey of the Universe's Magnetism (POSSUM) to gain insights into the magnetoionic medium in the Magellanic Clouds, circumgalactic medium of galaxies, and nearby galaxy groups.
Responsibilities
* Publishing original results in international refereed journals using POSSUM data.
* Presenting research at national and international academic seminars and conferences.
* Collaborating with researchers at a national and/or international level to advance knowledge in astronomy.
Requirements
* A PhD in astronomy or a related field.
* A strong track record of research in Radio Polarimetry and/or Faraday Rotation.
* Ability to articulate and prosecute innovative research in the field of astronomy.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team.
