The Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health (SMAH) comprises of the Schools of Science; Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences; Nursing; Psychology and the Graduate School of Medicine. About the role

We are seeking a School Operations Manager who can bring strong operational leadership and reliable day to day support.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Head of School to drive strategic priorities, oversee daily operations, and maintain efficient, consistent processes across the School. You'll also contribute to broader initiatives, collaborating with academic and professional staff, senior leaders, and external partners to support a range of operational and strategic projects.

GSM delivers an accredited four year MD program and strong operational oversight is essential. This role will partner with the Dean and senior leadership team on key partnerships, Australian Medical Council (AMC) accreditation activities, and externally funded programs, including the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training Program (RHMT).

About you

You bring relevant postgraduate qualifications (or equivalent experience) and a strong background in coordinating people and resources. You're organised, confident managing competing priorities and able to communicate clearly while building strong working relationships. You're comfortable navigating policies and procedures, have experience with budgeting and resource management and a good understanding of the higher education sector.
