Job Description
\
A multidisciplinary team-based role supporting the mental health needs of military personnel.
\
Initial intake and assessment, flexibility to accommodate presenting need, use of psychometrics and engagement in treatment that capitalises on skills, interests and scope of practice.
\
Autonomy to manage caseload including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and provision of internal treatment to Defence members.
\
Risk assessment and risk management planning supported within a multi-disciplinary team.
\
Required Skills & Qualifications
\
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
\
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
\
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
\
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
\
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
\
* Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
\
* Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).
