About the Role:
An established national construction and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join major projects located in Perth.
This leading Tier 1 company delivers complex, large-scale projects across multiple sectors.
This role will lead the commercial and project administration function on significant builds, taking full accountability for financial performance, contract management, procurement strategy, and commercial governance from project commencement through to completion and handover.
As a senior leadership position, you will also guide and develop the commercial and administration team on-site, ensuring robust processes, strong reporting, and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
* Manage project costs, forecasts, cashflow, and financial reporting to support accurate commercial decision-making.
* Take ownership of head contract administration, including variations, claims, and contractual compliance.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies, including subcontractor engagement and contract negotiation.
* Lead the identification, assessment, and management of commercial risks and opportunities across all project phases.
* Oversee subcontractor agreements and ensure alignment with contractual and commercial requirements.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to commercial and project administration team members on site.
* Ensure all commercial processes meet governance, audit, and internal compliance standards.
* Work closely with project leadership and key stakeholders to support successful project delivery and outcomes.
* Drive overall commercial performance while maintaining strong financial controls and reporting frameworks.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience operating within a tier-one or major contractor environment (ideally 10+ years).
* Proven track record working on large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
* Strong capability in forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting.
* In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk allocation, and commercial governance.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to mentor, influence, and develop high-performing commercial teams.
