About the role
This full-time Baker role at Sunshine Coast Sourdough Co' in Buderim, QLD offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of bakers who have fun whilst getting the job done! You will be responsible for prepping and baking high-quality sourdough and pastry products, playing a key part in the company's commitment to using traditional, artisanal methods.
What you'll be doing
Mixing, shaping, and baking sourdough bread and other artisanal baked goods. This is a physically demanding roll with focus on large batches of sourdough production
Ensuring consistency in product quality and presentation
Adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols
Collaborating with the team to continually improve processes and products
Daily cleaning and maintenance tasks
What we're looking for
At least 1 years' experience as a baker working with sourdough and/or pastry is preferred
Someone passionate about sourdough and pastry and baking in general
Knowledge of sourdough production techniques
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
Someone used to early starts between 3.30am & 4.30am Tuesday to Friday with Saturday shifts starting at 2.30am. If you are a baker who has worked nights shifts for a long time this is an opportunity to join a sourdough bakery where most of our prep and baking is done during the later hours of the morning.
Ordinary hours of work will be up to 38 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week depending on business needs.
