Our PLC Sydney Preschool at Ashfield is located at the corner of Liverpool Road and Knox Street, close to Ashfield train station. The Preschool has state-of-the-art facilities and operates 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday in line with the NSW Government term dates.

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Diploma-certified Early Childhood Educator to deliver a world-class, Reggio Emilia-inspired program that honours each child's unique journey in a supportive Christian environment. You'll be more than an educator; you'll be a collaborative partner to families, a mentor to peers and a champion for child safety and wellbeing.
This is a full-time, temporary (parental leave cover) role with an immediate start concluding 17 December 2026.
Key responsibilities
* Creating engaging learning experiences: Designing and implementing play-based learning activities that inspire curiosity and creativity
* Ensuring child safety and well-being: Prioritising children's safety and health, and maintaining a clean and stimulating environment
* Building strong relationships: Fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Supporting children's development: Guiding children's growth in all areas of development, from physical to social-emotional
* Contributing to a positive team culture: Collaborating with your team to achieve shared goals and continuously improve practices
* Adhering to regulatory requirements: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Skills and expectations
* Qualified and Compliant: Hold an appropriate Early Childhood Diploma and a current WWCC, backed by a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework and regulatory standards
* Values-Driven Educator: Actively champion the Preschool's initiatives and policies, contributing warmly to our Christian ethos and community spirit.
* Culturally Competent Partner: Use your exceptional interpersonal skills to build respectful, effective relationships with families and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds
* Organised Professional: Bring strong administration and organisational skills to ensure the smooth, high-standard operation of the learning environment
* Collaborative and Respectful: Foster a harmonious workplace through ethical communication and a genuine commitment to dealing respectfully with all members of our community
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
You will need to provide a current Working With Children Check Clearance Number and date of birth.
