Overview
The Senior Finance Analyst (10 month fixed term contract) plays a key role in delivering high‐quality financial analysis, commercial modelling, and business partnering across the Health Insurance business. The role leads the 3‐Year Plan, budgeting and forecasting cycles, and supports the delivery of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting. It also contributes critical insights through variance analysis, commentary, and financial modelling to support informed strategic and operational decision‐making.
The position oversees key month end activities, including P&L reporting, dashboards, project reporting, and preparation of executive and board level content. It also supports longer‐term strategic development through market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and modelling of new initiatives. A strong focus on continuous improvement underpins the role, driving enhanced forecasting processes, streamlined reporting, and the development of automated, customer‐centric business intelligence across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Lead the 3‐Year Plan, budgeting and forecasting cycles; deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting.
* Provide high‐quality financial analysis, commercial modelling, and business partnering across the Health Insurance business.
* Own key month end activities including P&L reporting, dashboards, and project reporting; prepare executive and board level content.
* Conduct variance analysis and develop commentary to support strategic and operational decision‐making.
* Support longer‐term strategic development through market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and modelling of new initiatives.
* Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes, reporting, and development of automated, customer‐centric business intelligence.
Qualifications
* Degree level qualifications with CA or CPA accreditation; proven experience in finance or commercial analysis.
* Strong capability in developing commercial proposals, tenders, financial models, and business cases.
* Advanced analytical skills with Excel; experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) and familiarity with financial systems.
* Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical insights for non‐finance stakeholders; solid industry knowledge and understanding of macro‐economic trends.
