We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join School of Chemistry and Physics, Faculty of Science.

**What you need to succeed**
- Completion of a PhD or doctoral research in either (1) Material Science, (2) Materials Engineering, (3) Inorganic Chemistry, or a closely related research field.
- Demonstrated track record and growing capacity to lead in the production of research outcomes such as publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and/or awards/grants consistent with the key areas and level of this position.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the synthesis and/or modification of ceramic, inorganic or radioactive source materials.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in instrumental operations for characterisation of ceramic and inorganic materials, including but not limited to SEM, TEM, infrared spectroscopy, physical surface measurements, crystallography and diffraction.
- Demonstrated capacity to work safely with hazardous and dangerous materials and substances.
- Evidence of industry engagement in research or a proven ability to effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated effective collaboration and strong communication skills, to liaise with researchers from different discipline areas and institutions, resulting in positive outcomes.
