We currently have two great opportunities to join the team as Forest Supervisor. One role will be based in Canobolas and the other in Sunny Corner.

About The Role
This role is responsible for executing a variety of forest management activities within the designated forest area. To ensure that forest operations, including road maintenance and construction, pest animal and weed control, hazard reduction burning, firefighting and recreation area maintenance are carried out for the Region in a safe, effective and productive manner to established legislative, environmental and safety standards.
We Would Love You To Have/be
* Self-driven, motivated, and able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Understanding of fire tanker operation and forest operations maintenance skills.
* Availability on weekends and for a rostered schedule
* Basic computer skills and ability to learn and apply new technologies to your work
* Demonstrated skills or experience in forestry, farming, outdoor or construction works
* Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Effectively follow verbal and written instructions
* Must have or be prepared to obtain a current MR driver's licence

Other Information
Depending on the role the preferred candidate will be required to satisfactorily complete a Drug and Alcohol screening, and/or Medical Assessment and/or a Fire Task Based Assessment (TBA). For roles requiring, the successful candidate must be fit to perform firefighting activities, which may include working in smoky conditions and the ability to be physically active in uneven or steep terrain. Offers of employment for these roles are subject to the results of the pre-employment Medical Assessment which may preclude candidates with high risk conditions from being able to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
