About the Department
Alfred Health Pharmacy is well recognised for high quality and innovative patient-focused services, education and training programmes as well as significant research output. The service operates over 4 sites within Alfred Health, and continually advocates for postgraduate learning and research interests, with supportive partnerships and expert mentors available to foster staff development.
About the Team
The Clinical Trials Pharmacy team provides services to The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital, Sandringham Hospital and Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. The service is managed by GCP trained, experienced pharmacists and technicians and currently supports nearly 400 drug trials across all phases of drug development.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our clinical trials team as Senior Pharmacist on a fixed-term, full-time basis until April ****. To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for advancing patient care and being at the forefront of clinical research, innovation and the safe delivery of investigational therapies that shape the future of medicine. You will work as part of the broader clinical trials team, closely collaborating with the Lead Pharmacist and other Senior Trials pharmacists, as well as with the broader Pharmacy Operations team and aseptic suite to deliver excellent patient outcomes. Qualifications / Experience
Registered pharmacist in Australia with general pharmacy registration with AHPRA
Relevant experience in a Clinical Trials setting essential, including an understanding of processes and workflows from both an operational and clinical perspective
Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy, particularly with a research component highly desirable
Recognised subject matter expertise within profession and or Advanced Practice Portfolio in the specialty highly desirable
Experience in supervision and mentoring staff a must
Demonstrated experience in distribution, clinical and aseptic preparation services an advantage
