ROLE – Test Director requirement for Baking Client

Location: Melbourne.

Duration Initial 6 Months with possible extension of another 6 Months.

Banking & Payments Testing Experience – Summary

A highly experienced Test Director / Program Test Manager with over 20 years in banking and financial services, specialising in quality assurance, testing strategy, and delivery leadership across Core Banking, Digital Platforms, Payments, and Cards & Acquiring domains.

Payments & Cards Experience

• Held senior test leadership roles (Test Director, Portfolio Test Manager) in Cards and Acquiring, overseeing end-to-end testing strategy and delivery.
• Managed testing across multi-vendor environments, integrations, infrastructure, and security.
• Delivered enterprise releases involving 25+ projects and 250+ applications, ensuring smooth rollouts with minimal risk.
• Embedded Agile-based QE solutions across payments platforms, driving automation, service virtualisation, and shift-left quality practices.

Banking Domain Experience

• Led testing portfolios for Core Banking, Business Banking, and NextGen transformation programs at Banking Client.
• Delivered multi-million-dollar testing portfolios, managing large-scale teams (up to 120+ FTEs) including offshore resources (70% offshoring ratio).
• Oversaw testing of mission-critical banking applications such as Working Capital Services, Payments Transformation, and Business Operations.
• Directed enterprise-level testing across digital, infrastructure, data, security, and integration streams.
• Built and scaled test frameworks, tooling, and governance models across Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative SDLCs.
• Introduced robust quality assurance metrics, risk management frameworks, and continuous improvement strategies.

• Tools: JIRA, ALM, Confluence, X-Ray, Selenium, LoadRunner, JMeter, UFT, Protractor, Perfecto
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub
