About the Role
Based at our LCS Nursery located at Edinburgh Parks, the Plant Procurement Officer will coordinate the procurement, supply, and inventory management of native plant stock to support LCS Group operations and client projects, ensuring plant availability and delivery requirements are met efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the procurement and supply of native plants and trees to meet project, operational and client requirements.
2. Identify internal propagation opportunities and source stock externally when required.
3. Maintain accurate inventory, stock records, and supplier information using MYOB and related systems.
4. Prepare stock lists, sales orders, and picking slips, coordinating orders through to delivery or collection.
5. Monitor stock availability and supplier lead times to support production planning and project delivery.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
7. Support nursery production planning, marketing initiatives, and general nursery operations as required.
Qualifications
8. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Australian native plants and trees.
9. Experience in nursery operations, horticulture, plant procurement, stock coordination, or a related environment.
10. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
11. Experience with inventory management, stock control and business systems such as MYOB or similar.
12. High attention to detail and accuracy when coordinating stock, orders and operational processes.
13. Strong communication and relationship building skills with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
14. Proactive, reliable and solutions focused, with a genuine interest in native plants and the horticulture industry.
