The role
The role:
In this highly sought-after casual position you will support ourhigh throughput CSBP Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory to meetbusiness demands immediately and during the busy soil season.
Working as part of an encouraging and experienced team, you willanalyse samples from farm, agribusiness and research customersaround Australia using modern laboratory equipment.
The analysisyou conduct is valued by our agricultural customers and influencesthe commercial goals of the laboratory.
To succeed in this role you will carry out routine tasksaccurately with confidence in your adherence to strictmethodologies for analysis and sample preparation.
You will beproactive in maintaining a safe working environment, and take pridein delivering quality and consistency in your work as part of anaccountable, high performing team.
Skills and experience
Skills and experience you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science or CertificateIV in Laboratory Techniques.
- Prioritising and understanding of safety at all times.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability toaccurately analyse data.
- Experience with Wet Chemistry techniques is highlydesirable.
- Previous experience working in a high throughput laboratorywill be highly regarded.
Our team of casual Laboratory Technicians are rostered in linewith the demands of our laboratory, with shifts rostered betweenthe laboratory's operating hours of 6am-6pm during the summermonths, which is typically from the beginning of January throughuntil April.
These roles will be offered with greatflexibility to work part time hours, job share arrangements andschools hours.
Please be aware that inclusion in the casual pool does notguarantee a set number of shifts or hours throughout the season.We'll begin training in November, but things are expected to getbusier in December and January.
