**The Role**
The Families and Young People Services team have an exciting opportunity for a Youth and Family Support Worker to join Mercy Community on a Permanent Part-Time basis. This role is based in Caboolture working a guaranteed 15 hours per week with regular opportunities to increase hours. These shifts can be anytime Monday to Sunday. Shifts are typically day and afternoon shifts, nights and sleepovers shifts aren't required.
As part of a close team, you will be responsible for providing support and activities to enhance children and young people sense of wellbeing, self
- esteem and to model behaviour consistent with goals which have been developed as a result of individual child intervention plans.
**To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria)**:
- Relevant qualifications (certificate or higher) and demonstrated experience in working with children and/or families in relation to complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised with vulnerable children/young people, providing guidance, supervision and support within a set framework.
- Demonstrated ability to be a positive role model with children/young people, including engaging with children and young people and building appropriate relationships.
- A Queensland Provisional Green or Open Driver's License.
- A current positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), the ability to obtain positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough and COVID-19 or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30.46 to $35.77 plus superannuation in line with level 2 to 3 of our Enterprise Agreement (dependent on qualifications and experience).
