We are seeking a dedicated
Program Officer
to join the
Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP)
team, a national program supporting healthcare professionals to provide essential services in rural and remote communities across Australia. Rural LAP plays a vital role in improving access to healthcare by ensuring workforce availability, continuity of care, and support for health professionals working in these regions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating placements for Health Professionals, ensuring all required documents are complete and current.
* Providing administrative support for credentialing, deployment, and program documentation.
* Maintaining and administering databases, collating information, and supporting reporting requirements.
* Assisting with payroll processing, timesheets, invoices, and expense claims.
* Supporting travel and logistics including flights, accommodation, and disrupted travel arrangements.
* Delivering high-quality administrative support to ensure efficient program operations.
* Providing outstanding customer service to Health Professionals, internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
* Building and fostering positive relationships to enhance engagement and program outcomes.
About you:
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
* Discreet with sensitive and confidential information.
* Experience in workforce deployment, health recruitment, or working with rural and/or remote communities is highly regarded.
* Knowledge of the health services industry is desirable but not essential.
