Position Overview
Fulgo Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Manager with a strong clinical (preferably nursing) background to lead the implementation, management, and optimization of our digital health information systems. This role is essential in ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient data management across our Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Hospital Information System (HIS), and cloud-based ERP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Health Information System Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Fulgo Health's EMR, HIS, and cloud ERP platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility across all clinical systems.
- Collaborate with software developers and clinical leads to align technology with clinical workflows.
Clinical Support & Training
- Train clinical and administrative staff on effective use of digital health systems.
- Create and maintain demo environments for onboarding and simulation.
- Translate clinical needs into functional system improvements and workflow optimizations.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Compliance
- Perform routine data audits and integrity checks to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
- Generate health reports and insights to support decision-making, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Australian privacy laws (e.g., My Health Records Act, Privacy Act) and digital health standards.
User Experience & Frontline Engagement
- Act as a bridge between frontline health workers and technical teams.
- Gather user feedback to improve the usability and effectiveness of health information systems.
- Champion adoption and digital literacy initiatives for clinical staff.
Technology Integration & Support
- Support the integration of local health systems with mobile apps and external platforms.
- Work with ICT teams to ensure network reliability, data backup, and secure cloud hosting.
- Assist in configuring health information systems for new sites or clinics.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or related field.
- Postgraduate training in Public Health, Digital Health, or Health Systems Management (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting (nursing or allied health preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience working with EMR/HIS systems, digital health platforms, or healthcare data management.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of EMR, HIS, and cloud-based health systems (e.g., OpenMRS, MediRecords, Best Practice, etc.).
- Familiarity with health data standards (SNOMED, ICD-10, HL7/FHIR).
- Proficiency in Excel, health reporting dashboards, and documentation.
Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

- Ability to train, support, and empower clinical users.

Pay: $93,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
