Join our team as a Senior Forest and Fire Operations Officer - Training!
This role involves leading, planning, coordinating, and implementing district technical and fire role training. You will deliver engaging programs to support field staff in gaining essential accreditation skills. The focus is on technical training, including mentoring, supervision, and competency assessment.
You will be responsible for scheduling staff, resources, and equipment at the district level. Accreditation and experience in bushfire response and forest environment operations are required.
Occasionally, and under the direction of the District Operations Manager, you may be deployed to support operational crews in field-based duties to maintain your technical skills and knowledge.

Applicants must hold a current manual Driver's Licence (conditions A, I & V are not acceptable).
Specialist/Technical Expertise and Qualifications
* Experience and understanding of Forest and Fire Operations responsibilities, including forest management, road management, fuel management, and emergency preparedness and response.
* Current accreditation (or substantial progress) in Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40122), with experience in training and competency assessment for technical roles.
* Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering technical and operational training.
This position is ongoing, based in the Barwon South West Region, Victoria. The salary ranges from $75,361 to $82,298 per annum, plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
